Few weeks ago on Armorama (and few days ago on ML) I could read posts about choising paint for Polish T-55. Several persons (including me) gave their proposals of the most suitable colour
To solve this problem I scratched 2 original T-55 tanks Than I compared it with my RAL colour tables. And according to them- the most suitable paint is RAL 6014 (Gelboliv).
Another thing (guys from Tamiya forgot about it): if you decide to build Polish AFV- remember about installing Road Priority signs. They are installed on right- front and left-back part of vehicle (if you remember photos- contact me offline).

Michal, I plan on building my first T-55 as the Polish version. I have a couple of questions for you. Do you know if Tamiya has a close match for RAL 6014 (Gelvoliv) ? I had planned on using Khaki Drab as per the instructions. Second question, Do you have or know of a picture of the road priority signs?

According to my colour tables only Humbrol and Xtracolor produce paint which is similar to RAL6014.
I work with Tamiya and Gunze- so I will have to mix them to get proper colour. In my opinion- Khaki Drab from Tamiya instruction is too brown.
I have several photos of road priority signs- I will send you photos this evening. I have a spare set of signs from PE material: if you are interested in- give me your address.

I sent you an e-mail with my address. Thanks. As to the color, I did a google search and found an RAL chart. I have never used humbrol paints, so I guess this is a good time to start!
