Great groundwork and painting, great figure painting also.
The guy throwing the grenade does not hold his weapon rightly, it will certainly drop like this.

WOW what a great peice, i totaly disagree with the grenade throwing guy as this is exactly how you want to hold the weopon throw and fight.

Excellent work with figure painting and groundwork. One slight critique, however. On the left shoulder of some of the figures, you have the 3rd Infantry division patch. The 3rd ID did not land at Normandy. The US 4th, 1st and 29th divisions did.
The US 3rd Infantry division was primarily engaged in Italy and Southern Franc.e.

Why do they all have Marine style canteen covers? Do they come in the kit? If so, that is an error, and they should be replaced by Tamiya or DML items. Also, none of their haversacks have the outer pocket that usually covers most of the shovel blade. Usually these packs, I'd think particularly for D-day, would have that outer pocket attached.

Really,it`s one of the freshest sets by Masterbox.I made it for advertising aims,
(for Nerenberg toys exposition),that`s why I assembly it stright of box and do n`t changed some parts (canteens,haversacks) with more correct tamiya`s or dragon`s ones.Anyway,thanks for all notes,it`ll be usefull for me in next projects.

I was just on the MasterBox site and noted that this is what they say about this set.
They have another US infantry set that they are sub-texting as "D-day" but this set they do not, simply calling it "US Infantry - July".
Nice job on this Vladimir!

On July 3rd 1944, the U.S. First Army initiated an attack near St. Lo. The battle was extremely difficult due to marshy ground with numerous shallow rivers and streams. The situation was complicated by the fact that the territory through which the G.I.s were advancing was crisscrossed with hedgerows. As a result, the U.S. forces suffered 40 thousand casualties in 17 exhausting days of combat. The kit includes 4 figures of U.S. soldiers hit by German troops. They are trying to pull out their wounded comrade by shooting back and using a smoke grenade as a screen.

oh by the way, don't worry, not everybody is counting stitches and buttons,
some of just like a good , verry good vignette , just like yours,
makes us wanne achive the same skill level, cause you have SKILLS man!!
only Q i have 4 u; what's it with the piece of wood, looks like a splinter , in the middle of the path?
Do you need it? If not take it off, I don't feel like it belongs there, in that setting.

I love also the different tones on the groundwork.

I can't claim credit on this since this is Vladimir Demchenko's work, not mine. I just had the pleasure of editing the photos and putting them up as an On Display and announcing it here. My figure painting skills aren't anywhere near this level.
