I seem to be unable to get a good close up of the pioneer tools on the Firefly....I want to super detail tis area and I want to understand exactly hoe things were secured to the hull. I was wondering if the 'experten' out there could give me a hand?
thnx in advance,
Steve

There were two tie downs on either side of the tool, and a leather or webbing strap would be used to secure the tool with a buckle. There were sheet metal holders to secure the ends of shovels and mattocks, and raised eyelets for the openings in track wrenches. Formations offers a really nifty set of resin tools with the straps molded in place, which is much less fiddly than making them from photoetch or thin tape.
