Hi Guys, I finally got off my duff and finished this one. It's April 1945, somewhere in a destroyed german city a small band of German infantry with a 251 /22 is fighting a fierce rear guard action. Suddenly shots ring out and the blood chilling cry of " Mein Gott !!! Ivans behind us !!!"
Let me know what you think

I wonder if in the time the comrade had to reach the wounded man with an aid bag, why the loader and gunner did not grab the mp 40 or the rear mounted mg...
Is the medic glued to the wounded man?
If not, remove him all together, pull the medic bag out and have the guy on the ground just having been hit.
then the immediate reactions of the loader/gunner are taking place at the instant after he is hit, and their lack of weapons in hand is explainable.
Nice work on the 251 by the way. Did you have any trouble with the hull side to roof fit?
Mine is stalled at that point, I have something hanging up, but cant quite figure out where...

My first thought of seeing a rear shot of the dio was, the loader looks as if he is saying "WHAT did you just say" just before he looks up. Then thinking " OH ". Nice work. Thank you for posting it.

Hi there
I like your work and the story - but shouldn't he be talking German?
I like the groundwork - it looks really realistic and the vehicle is also well done. Nice work with the ruin as a backdrop.
Good work.

Your dio looks great to me. I don't see a problem with the medic. He could have seen the soldier go down and immediately lept to his aid -Medics tend to do that- and that's when the other's, who were focused on their jobs, noticed "Ivan".
Nice job

Hi Don,
Nicely composed action dio and with lots of rubble to boot. Some urban dios with destroyed buildings sometimes forget to match the rubble to the destruction but yours has lots of it and variety as well.
A minor point but the gun on the halftrack appears to be slightly undermanned as the loader is the only crew manning the gun. No problem as the gunner may have been knocked off earlier unless the chap calling out at the rear is part of the crew which would make it slightly unusual to have him outside the halftrack.
Overall a nicely executed dio. Well done.

Hi Don,
Great story line, you can feel the fear that these man would have in real time. The groundwork and the overall diorama, is superb. I realy like the combination of the vehicle in this setting whit the figures.

This would be true if the crew were in combat at the time, but maybe there was a lull in the battle and two of the crew were outside restocking the ammo hence the open crate at the back and the guy holding the shell, also the way the weapons are laid around.
Anyway love the dio like the rubble strewn around.
Good job mate.

I think the figure placements are right on the money. Just a great work over all.

Thanks again for the kind words and encouragement folks. The guy pointing is part of the 251 crew who was caught outside during a rearming session.
