Hi guys - posting again!
http://www.usarmymodels.com/MANUFACTURERS/Nemrod/nemrod35041.html
I go my Nemrod Pathfinder in the post a while ago, and the quality is fantastic!
However there are a few things not included that are illustrated in the box art:
Helmet A-web straps
Thompson sling
Little bit of string hanging from the pistol holster
Have I missed out, or are these never included?
Thanks for your time,
Harry

Harry-- the string from the .45 could be either to hold it to his leg or a lanyard attached to his the equipment or around his neck. I would bet it is the leg attachment which is more western movie cowboy than practical. Leaving it twist on the bottom of the holster would be appropriate. I question the bandoleers of .45 ammo on the chest. Those guys jumped with a tremendous amount of gear for the landing zone operations. Their individual ammo was limited. He has enough to stop an army. .45 ammo is heavy especially in those magazines. The rundown out of the website you cited is fairly complete. What about those cow hide jump gloves? Plenty of burnt black cork on the face.
Hope this helps

DJ,
I beg to differ. Phots in some of the books by Mark Bando, pretty much THE authority on the 101st in WW2, show photos of pathfinders with EXACTLY that setup for their thompson pouches, hanging from their suspenders rather than the belt. This can also be seen in the series Band of Brothers on at least a few paras as they gear up for the Normandy jump. Thus, the Nemrod figure is quite accurate.

Thanks for your comments guys
I never thought of the string being to tie around the leg - very Clint!
The Thompson ammo pouches seem to have been used quite a lot, (sometimes just one chest pouch not two) and my Osprey Paratrooper book agrees to that extent with Robert. (And I think the chest rigs look cool!)
Anyone know about the bits I'm missing?
Cheers,
H

Sorry, Harry, I never answered that part of your question. I can't speak for them all, but mine doesn't have those items in the box either. I'm guessing they expect a modeler to be able to fashion slings and strings himself. Indeed, if you look on Tim Streeter's website that you linked to, on his reviews for all the Nemrod figs he mentions that you'll have to make the sling for the rifle/carbine/SMG yourself, along with the occasional pack strap (the running 30th Inf guy with bag in hand comes to mind).

Harry,
Me too! Knowing the Nemrod figs can, at times, be tough to find, I bought ALL of their Americans, except for the medic figures, and have still yet to build any. Just saving them for those special projects. Right now I'm doing a Sicily dio using kitbashed DML Normandy Airborne figs....so far, so good.

I got a few packs of those Dragon figures years ago for a preasent. Have only just pulled them out the desk, and as you say, they are excellent for kit-bashing!
Good luck with your build,
H
