Since the continuing weakness of Bandai kits is the tool set, here are some cast metal O scale (1/48) model railroad tools. They are pretty easy to find and inexpensive.

Great to see! I was working in a model shop when the original Bandai kits were released and won my first IPMS competition with their Tiger 1.
The full interiors were a revelation, no aftermarket stuff in those ancient times!

Cheers Fred, I really like the look of the 232 8rad, that's a very nice looking model. I am still hoping to pick up another one or two of these, but the prices are getting a bit out of hand. I was hoping for a Tiger I with some vague notion of getting it together with the PIV for a diorama.

Great job! I haven't gotten this far with Photoshop yet. You and Matrixone are good at this.

I think matrixone has taken things a bit further than me! - I just put mine in front of a propped up book with the photo in it !! These were from a couple of Squadron / Signal books where they do the odd full page spread. The only photo processing was to make it look like an old fuzzy photo.

A recent Bandai thread piqued my interest in showing a few old Bandai artifacts.

I built their 1/48 Panther way back when. Even though it eventually ended up melted into many other models in the model crypt in my backyard, by then I had become aware that neat internal items could become detail parts in other models someday. Approximately 45 years ago I removed the internal goodies, including the Maybach engine and the radio/engine instruments console (not shown).
