The ACV-300 vehicles are based on M113 and YPR's but more advanced with its subsystems. Over then 2000 vehicles are in service with Turkish Land Forces (TLF).
The first batched vehicles delivered are used in Operation Somalia
These versions consist of AIFV and APC versions. The AIFV fitted with 25mm one-person DAF turret (same turret used on YPR 765 in service with Netherlands, Belgium)
I used the AFV CLUB 1/35 NATO AIFV kit and converted a little bit to match Turkish Army versions
Its a nice kit but need improvements on some details
TURRET ASSEMBLY
The 25mm Oerlikon KBA cannon barrel details are very good. Drilling an hole in to the muzzle makes it even look better.
The 7.62 coax installed on the TLF version is an MG-3. (*Not any coax barrels are available in the KIT)
I believe an MG-42 barrel will do the job
Vehicle uses a 2nd generation local make thermal sight.
The 2 sights comes with the kit are not suitable with ACV-300 versions.
I modified and try to make it look like the original.
Cap chains added on the smoke grenade discharges
HULL ASSEMBLY
Drilling an hole and adding a bilge pump discharging tube.
non-slip surfaces are applied on the original vehicles.
Its already available on the kits details but is not enough... Specially not available on all hatches
The picture is from the ACV manufacturer assembly line.
Very different methods used brilliantly by other AFV modelers.
I tried a diferent method by using P220 sand paper and sand the face down until it get finer.
Glued to surfaces. Putty the edges and sand to get beveled edges
exhaust cover installation is shown facing side verse on the manual.
But it needs to face to the front.
Remove strap hooks from the right side of the vehicle.

The vehicle has straps to hang backpacks, stowage’s and ext.
Used a copper plate and cut 1mm stripes.
Need strap hooks on top corner of laminated armor.
The towing cable is changed to add a little bit more detail
Nice jerrycan rack comes out from the kit box.
But the belt type stripes not used on these variants......
PAINTING
The pattern is like the standard NATO versions but the colors are different on the versions send to Somalia

Great work there!
Love the way the straps turned out and all other small details that you've added. Can we look forward to see a small scene with one or two figures in the future?
Cheers,
/E

Excellent step by step for a great end result, congratulations!
I would have used aftermarket lenses for the headlights, but your model does look very good.
Cheers,
Christophe

Great job on the details !
I like this original version as we don't see that many Turkish vehicles.
Thanks for sharing.
