First off, I neither think you're getting at me personally, nor would I care if you tried. It's a modeling website, no one is curing cancer here as far as I know. And I AM someone who has an interest in such products, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered to read the thread. I've built about 20 of these, and have roughly 20 more in my stash. (1/25, 1/35, and a few resin) That by no means would make me an expert, just someone who builds these more than any other tank I like. You asked for some photos, so here they are: Bear in mind, I too don't want to spend a lot of extra time on this (two builds in the garage currently)so this is a quickie: This video at 1:03 and again at 1:04: LINK And this one at 10 seconds, the most prominent of all: LINK In looking at that last one, and others, you can see where the line, seam, shelf, whatever you want to call it, is not there, then very there, then not there again. I'm thinking depending upon alignment, it's going to show up somewhere on most of them. So much so that I don't try to completely eliminate the seam any more. I'm not trying to bash your product, I even said more than one nice thing about it. I guess it's just not for me. I hope you sell many of them. By the way, if you DID offer something like a Mk 10, AND it had the hole locations marked for the tie downs, I'd probably consider getting one.

Hi All i just want to say there is of course three centurion turret manufactures of centurions and three different styles. some had step molds, some had thin seams , some had none just a faint line and this goes right through the marks of tanks. the main thing to look out for is late build centurions and even some mk5s where the turret is thicker it has bigger and some case more milled steps on points to allow turrets to turn with out fowling the hull. Its nice to see a turret with the mantel cover already done. ossie even today the basic shapes can be different but the basic add on stuff is common size example. turret size can vary say by 50 mm in size and thickness, but top plate, commanders hatch and even other stuff is common size. so they can be made by one manufacture to suit all turret shapes .

Even with the step/seam how much of it will actually be visible with smoke dischargers, left and right turret bins, and the rear turret bustle attached? If you fill the bustle with stowage you are left with maybe with an 1 1/2" of the step/seam segments in total around the exposed turret sides that a modeller would have to add if someone so chose to add it.

I have to admit Rob I would rather have to add a detail like that than have to remove it seeing as their are 3 turret manufacturers which I didn't know about.

True enough. I'm doing a Mitla Pass dio with nine Centurions, tow of which were being towed by other Cents. There are going to be plenty of missing components, I'm sure. Oh, and the '67 Cents had no baskets. So yeah, I can add them myself.

Very impressive diorama by your description Is this a commission or do you have a massive display area? I have a Canadian Centurion Mk.5 on display about a 5 minute drive from my house...I looked at the turret and seam/step is almost invisible and in some cases non-existent to the naked eye in real life up close. I guess it truly depends on what a modeller is using for references.
