Kancali is starting some vertical marking – literally and figuratively.
They are introducing a line of buildings along with their very popular road elements.
Here is the first introduction to this line. It’s a corner building with battle damage.

This kit is the smaller of two Kancali is developing. Both will be cast in resin with an exterior and interior. The only hydrostone pieces in the kit are the rubble (because it’s easier to stain and paint than resin). The pictures are from the initial build of the first kit.

We are going with resin for these kits. The trials of plaster casting were not as successful as resin. Kancali is making bases for all of them. These kits going to appeal to modelers who, because of time constraints, need an urban diorama base that goes together relatively quickly and can stand alone as is with out a lot of extra detailing...

Hi Whilst its always good to see additional choices in regard to dioramas, buildings etc. I have to say many I see just don't seem to take the time to research architectural features and depict them correctly. Sometimes its a case of using something "generic" which really doesn't fit but may be seen elsewhere. An example is in this building. On the inside of the windows is depicted a huge wide sill- ledge whilst a plain small one on the front. The inside one is far too big in proportion to the window and would be more suited to the outside to be honest. I've yet to see any building with that size of interior detail matched to a window or property of that size, style. It looks to me like they found a piece of decorative wood, picture frame or maybe architrave from a Dolls house supplies and stuck it on there. Out of scale. It's good to have buildings that include interior detail as well as exterior detail, provided it is correct. Alan

The sills are definitely exterior designs.

Hisham, What is under the window in the inside belongs to a outside window! Where does the roof end? There must at least be a gutter under the last row of slates. Well... Cheers Claude
