This will be a very short first look review at the Perfect Scale Modellbau PiPz 1 Leopard 1 AEV with Interior. The reason for the short review is that this model has been posted off to Todd Michalak who will be building the kit and writing a build log as he goes, I feel this will provide a far better platform for you all to form an opinion on this resin kit. As such this review will be image heavy in order thst you get a look at the parts.

The PiPz 1 Leopard 1 AEV from Perfect Scale Modellbau is available with and without an interior, so if you intend to button up the hatches on this model save yourself some money and buy the version without the interior, if you want all of the bells and whistles go for the version with the interior. The resin castings that go together to make this model are very well cast with no obvious air bubbles or imperfections that jumped out at me. The packaging managed to get the model to me and then to Todd without any major issues other than a few parts breaking away from their pour plugs. All of the resin castings are supplied in a Ziploc bag with the upper and lower hull supplied loose in the box. The photo etch, decals and instructions are stored under the Ziploc bag, all of this is held in place via a liberal application of foam peanuts and bubble wrap.

The detail on the various mouldings is of a very good standard and should really make this model stand out when finished. The instructions for this model, which has a considerable number of parts, are a little on light side for a model with this complexity and so I do not recommend this model for members who do not have a good grounding in models of this type. For modellers who are at home with the construction of resin models I believe this has the potential to be a stunning model.

SUMMARY
Highs: A very good level of detail will make this model stand out.
Lows: The instructions could be difficult to follow for modellers who are not at ease with resin models.
Verdict: I feel this model is a must have for all of the Leopard fans out there.
