Introduction
Tankograd Publishing has sent Armorama a review sample of one of their latest titles, this time it is from their Militarfahrzeug series and looks at the Yak Armoured Multipurpose Vehicle in a surprising number of guises. The following is the introduction of this title from the
Tankograd Publishing website;
The Yak protected multipurpose vehicle is a consequent advancement of the DURO 3 already used by the German Bundeswehr. During development of the Yak, a lot of lessons learned by German troops during ISAF operations in Afghanistan immediately made it into its technical and logistical advancement. Although the Yak is one of the lesser known vehicles in Bundeswehr service, a wide range of variants has been introduced and are described in great detail in this publication:
Mobile Physician’s Group Vehicle, Military Police Operations, Military Police Water Gun, Military Police Prisoner Transport, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, LUNA Ground Control Station, LUNA Maintenance Kit, LUNA Net Landing Module, LUNA Transport Module.

Conclusion
The Yak Armoured Multipurpose Vehicle in Modern German Army Service from
Tankograd Publishing is a very complete titled squeezed into only 72 pages. I am unaware of a model being available of the YAK at this time, however I am also aware that there are a huge number of releases being both announced and released at a phenomenal rate. This book as of now should appeal to anyone with an interest in the Modern German Army, the YAK and DURO 3 and I am sure the modeller in the near future. This title is very informative and provides a great basic knowledge of both the vehicle and the tasks it can be equipped to deal with.
