The opening text on page 4 give an overview of production by the various manufactures and also features a mid-production 1500A belonging to Mr Jakub Vojacke while on page 5 features a late production 1500A belonging to Mr Glenn Swallow.
The main walk round begins on page 7 and features a mid-production 1500A owned by Mr Swallow. A good selection of detailed photographs cover the exterior of the vehicle, canvas roof detail are covered from pages 28 to 39, engine details from page - 40 – 48, wheel and chassis detail continue pages 48 - 57. The interior details are covered on pages 58 to 78 and rear seat detail are covered on pages 80 - 81 there are a selection of pictures that show the beginning of a vehicle restoration owned by Vladimir Lehar on page 59.
Beginning at page 82 and continuing through to page 89 covers an interesting version, the wooden bodied Pritschenwagen from 1945 pages 90 to 96 cover the interior front seating and the rear layout of this variant. Also featured for interest on page 9 is the Holzkabine Cargo vehicle from 1944 for comparison with the mid production variant.
Conclusion
The book is of excellent quality and gives a general overview of the manufactures involved in the production of the 1500A and quality photographs of the detail of the vehicle with some additional interesting variants. With 1, 2 3 or 4 photographs per page this should prove a useful reference for modellers of this particular vehicle. Whilst restored vehicles provide an excellent source of detail you should always check period photographs if you wish to build a specific vehicle.
I am not that familiar with German vehicles but this title appears to offer an excellent resource on the mid-production 1500A and the opportunity to scratch build an example of the 1945 Pritschenwagen. WWP have produced another terrific resource for modellers and those interested in period vehicles in general.
