introduction
BRAVO-6 completed the Fury tank crew with the third kit of the series. Last kit
B6-35110 U.S. Tank Crew(3) 1944-45, includes two tanker figures one sitting on the turret and other standing on the hull in typical World War II U.S. uniforms.
box
Figures come in a brown cardboard box labeled with a photo of the assembled and painted figures. Body and other parts like heads and arms are inserted seperately into two small plastic zip-lock bags.
figures
Each figure is sculpted in crisp details and cast in grey resin as four pieces - body, head and two arms. Resin quality is very good and casting is superb. No air bubbles, flesh resin, casting mistakes or visible seamlines. Cleanwork is NOT required other than removing casting blocks easily, maybe a short sanding for the outside of arms. Note that some attention is needed to remove the M3 grease gun for the fragile barrel.
FIGURE - A
Posed standing on tank hull, he wears
M37 Uniform of wool shirt, wool trousers and GI belt. Over his uniform, he has a waist length Army field jacket, not sure but it can be a Parson’s jacket. He carries a scarf on his neck and a
M1911A1 in M3 Shoulder holster on the left side. As the outer garment, he wears a
2nd pattern Tanker Jacket with slash pockets, wool knit collar, waist band and sleeves. Details of the clothing are all well sculpted in crisp details. Footgear is ankle boots and
M38 leggings laced up outside and with a strap passing under the boot.
Facial details are good showing great alikeness to
Boyd 'Bible' Swan acted by Shia LaBeouf.
Arms are posed to be on both sides of the body. Cloth folds, wool knit sleeves and arm patch to paint
5th Grade Technician for this figure are well defined.
FIGURE - B
Posed to sit on the turret of Sherman, he wears a Khaki color shirt and knitted wool
Army Highneck Sweater with 5 buttons in front. Over his sweater, he has OD color
M43 Field jacket and
M43 field trousers. Jacket has 2 flap breast pockets with flap covers, 2 slash waist pockets with flap covers, shoulder straps and internal drawstring on the waist. Cloth folds and uniform details are well defined. As for footgear, he has
M43 Combat boots with two-buckle ankle gaiters.
Facial details are well represented. Vladimir exactly captured the babyface look of
Norman Ellison acted by Logan Lerman.
Arms are posed to put his hands on his thighs and show nice cloth folds.
A .45 caliber
M3 Grease Gun is given as a seperate part to place on the lap of the figure.
conclusion
Now the crew is ready and M4A3E8 Sherman - Fury has to be built. Both figures absolutely look like the characters on the movie. They are great figures to create a Fury movie scene and they can also be used as any WW II tank crew with a head replacement as heads are supplied as seperate parts.
