Introduction:
A jack is a mechanical device used as a lifting device to lift heavy loads or apply great forces. The Hi-Lift Jack comprises a steel beam with a series of equally spaced holes along its length, and a hand operated mechanism which can be moved from one end of the beam to the other through the use of a pair of climbing pins. Typical sizes for the farm jack are 4 feet (1.2 m), 5 feet (1.5 m) and 6 feet (1.8 m) referring to the length of the beam. The jack's versatility stems from its use for such applications as lifting, winching, clamping, pulling and pushing. It is this versatility, along with the long travel it offers and its relative portability, which make the Hi-Lift Jack so popular with off-road drivers.

Review:
Live Resin is a well-known company from Russia utilizing 3D rapid prototyping to produce high quality weapon and accessory sets in 1/35 scale. This review covers their Hi-Lift Jack, 60’’ for all vehicles (LRE 35161). For all reviews of Live Resin products on Armorama, please check this

Live Resin sets are packed in zip-lock bag safely secured between cardboard backing. The CAD box art image on the front shows the contents of the set, while the one on the back displays Hi-Lift Jack stowed on a Humvee, also stating the set can be used with all 1/35 scale vehicles from any manufacturer.
The kit consists of 5 resin casting blocks with 20 parts in total, for assembling 4 Hi-Lift Jacks. This was a bit of a surprise as the box art image illustrates 5 jacks, not 4. The parts are molded in grey resin and, although I expect nothing but the best from Live Resin, this set impressed me... it has to be one of the most difficult shapes Live Resin molded, but once again the cast is absolutely flawless.
The set depicts Hi-Lift Jack 60’’, a rugged and highly versatile jack. It features a 60’’ steel beam with holes, top winch-connector clamp, two piece handle and socket, lifting nose and a square base plate. The resin pieces in this set look great with all the details of the jack faithfully reproduced in scale, making this set a great replica of the real Hi-Lift Jack. The Jack in this set also features handle keeper, a device for holding the handle to the steel bar keeping it in place when not in use. Parts for the vehicle mount are cast separately and consist of two mounting brackets and two tiny mounting bracket caps for each jack. These tiny pieces might prove a bit difficult to remove from their carrier plugs, so some patience is suggested.
Altogether, this is a very simple, yet very much needed accessory set for updating 1/35 scale models depicting modern vehicles serving in current Middle Eastern conflicts.
Conclusion:
Hi-Lift Jack, 60’’ for all vehicles (LRE 35161) from Live Resin offers 4 Hi-Lift Jacks in 1/35 scale. Although a very difficult shape to pull off in resin, the cast is perfect with the details wonderfully delivered in scale. Live Resin jacks are dimensionally correct and accurately reproduced, and with handle keeper and vehicle mounting brackets these jacks are a very welcomed stowage item for many different modern vehicle kits.
