introduction
BRAVO-6
Another nice addition to
Rumble in Jungle series with a dynamic pose to use in Vietnam War underfire scenes.
B6-35055 U.S. Army Infantry (7) Gunslinger, depicts a U.S. Army infantry firing his M16 on a kneeling pose. As the head is supplied as a seperate part, figure can be changed to a Green beret, SEAL or Grunt with a head replacement.
Figure
It comes in standard BRAVO-6 cardboard box labeled with an assembled and painted photo of the figure.
Parts are seperately inserted into two zip-lock bags.
Figure is sculpted by
Vladimir Demchenko and cast in 8 grey resin parts. Casting is flawless as always but vertical seamline under the right cargo pocket should be cleaned and some extra care is always better on rifle barrels and muzzles.
Body : He wears an OD t-shirt and Tropical jungle trousers with trotters inserted inside his leather-canvas combined Jungle boots. He has a Pistol belt on his waist with M-16 ammo pouches attached on both sides. Over his t-shirt, He carries a M16 bandolier with 7 pockets on his chest. Bandolier is sculpted worn in an unusual way as wearing a bra. I believe Vladimir again got inspired from an interesting Nam War photo. Cloth folds, wrinkles and heavy lugs on the boot soles are all well defined.
Head : It shows nice facial details. Left eye is sculpted narrowed as aiming/shooting and right cheek is slightly carved for the fit of rifle stock.. A Bonnie hat is cast with the head.
Arms with short sleeves of t-shirt are posed to fire his rifle. To make a few dry-fit exercises to pose the arms correctly in firing pose will be good before assemblying the arms.
1 quart canteen with M1956 canvas cover
2 quart collapsable film bladder will be added to the right side of the figure.
M16A1 rifle : Right hand is cast on the pistol grip with finger on trigger and left hand is cast on the handguard, suitable for a firing pose. All details of the rifle are well defined.
Lightweight Tropical Rucksack with metal frame is given as a seperate part to display next to the figure. A bedroll, a M18 Claymore mine bag, a 5 quart collapsable film bladder and a First aid pouch are cast on the rucksack.
conclusion
Another nice posed figure sculpted in crisp details and cast in high quality. It can be used together with all Rumble in Jungle series figures but very suitable to accompany 35055 U.S. Army Infantry - Gunfighter and 35054 Broken Arrow for a bigger scene. As mentioned above, it can be used for different units with a head replacement.
