The all steel T54E1 Chevron tracks were used mostly on the M4A3 and some of the M4A1 models of the M4 tank from 1942. These tracks were also used in some M4 based vehicles. Since only a few M4A3 tanks were sent to the United Kingdom, this set is useful for mostly American operated Sherman’s. Also important to note that this set does not include the “duckbill” extensions.
Review
The tracks are cast in grey resin in large, 8 cm sections. The width is 6mm, which comes to about 43cm in real life. This is very close to the 16-9/16” (42cm) I found in the literature. The detail is crisp, and there is no flash present.
The installation is very simple: after you carefully cut the casting blocks away, put the resin pieces into hot (but not too hot) water to soften the resin. In this state the tracks can be wrapped around the running gear. Once they cool down, they will stay in that shape.
SUMMARY
Highs: an easy to use update set for M4A3, M4A1 and some specific M4 based vehicle.Lows: none.Verdict: recommended if a replacement set of track is needed.

These reviews are written from the point of view of an average model builder; hence the focus is on quality of the model, how easy it is to...
