box
The kit comes well packed in standard light brown cardboard box labeled with a photo of the assembled and painted figures by
Vladimir Demchenko, also the sculptor.
The main parts-bodies and other parts of the figures like arms, weapons and field gear are seperately inserted in small plastic zip-lock bags to avoid unexpected damages during transfer.
review
Figures come in medium grey resin parts. Parts are represented with the casting blocks. The junctions between figure parts and casting blocks are well placed and the parts can be easily removed from the blocks with no damage. Note that you should be careful especially on the muzzles. The resin quality is good and details are crisp. No air bubbles, casting mistakes or visible seamlines on the figures. The figures will be ready to paint with a very little cleanwork.
Figure marked as A on the casting block is posed to run on a lean forward position with his rifle on his hands and Figure-B is posed is posed to crouch with his left hand on the ground and rifle on his right hand. Figure-A comes in 9 parts with body with head, two seperate arms, rifle and field gear as Figure-B has 10 parts with an additional bandolier.
Facial details and expressions on the faces are well defined on both figures. Facial details of Figure-B show details like high cheek bones, large lips, curly hair as an Afro-American soldier. Hair is well sculpted on both which makes the figures can be used with or without helmets. They wear tropical jungle jacket with two chest and two lower bellows pockets - all with flap covers, jungle trousers with two rear and two bellows cargo pockets on both sides and canvas-leather combined Vibram jungle boots. Trotters are inserted into the boots. They carry Pistol belt on waist with M-16 ammo pouches cast on both sides. Additionally, Figure-B carries a H-harness and a M16 Bandolier given as a seperate part to assembly on the chest of the figure. Wrinkles and folds on uniforms, pockets and other details are all well defined.
Arms are posed to carry the rifle and defined with upfolded sleeves on Figure-A and long sleeves on B. Small pins on shoulders are helpful for easier assembly to get the correct pose of the arms. A wristwatch is sculpted on the left arm of Figure-A. To make a few dry-fit exercises to pose the arms correctly in firing pose will be good before assemblying the arms of this figure as both of his hands are cast on the rifle.
They carry M16A1 rifle defined in clean and crisp details.
Personal gear of the figures are supplied in different sprues.
1 Qt canteen in canvas cover - 4 pieces
M7 bayonet in M8A1 scabbard - 2 pieces
M1956 First Aid/Compass Pouch - 2 pieces
M1 Helmet with Mitchell pattern camo canvas cover and helmet strap.
A water-slide decal sheet with different types of insignia, ranks and nametags is given inside the kit.
