Plus Model offers a large selection of various diorama accessory items in 1/35 scale. The company constantly updates their catalogue with new accessory sets, many of them very useful for modern day dioramas. This review covers a set of air-conditioning units typical for Middle Eastern but also numerous other urban settings.
Review:
Air Condition (491) set is packed in a typical Plus Model box, featuring a large image showing the contents of the set. Opening the box reveals a multimedia kit which consists of resin pieces, PE fret and a decal sheet... all it takes to assemble three A/C units.
The set includes 15 pieces cast in grey resin. The cast is really good and the pieces feature sharp details perfectly delivered in resin. I found no major casting defects on the pieces, no air-bubbles or seam lines, just some thin flash residue easily cleaned using the back of an X-acto blade. The PE fret consists of 12 pieces which are thin and should represent fans, grilles and protective screens well. The decal sheet is small but is bound to give some extra color to these A/C units.
The set represents air-conditioner units typically seen outside the residential and office buildings, providing more comfortable interior environment in hot climates. The set includes parts to assemble three A/C units in two slightly different configurations. Instruction sheet details the assembly in clear and concise manner, so following these should result in a stress-free build. Each unit consists of face panel, condenser and mounting brackets supplied as resin parts, while fan blade, fan grille guard, side panel and back net are PE pieces. The largest AC unit also has base plate and two side valves cast in resin.
Conclusion:
Air-condition set from Plus Model offers three 1/35 scale A/C outdoor units in two slightly different configurations. The set consists of resin pieces, PE fret and decals, providing modeler with everything one needs to assemble and bring these A/C units to life. Well done Plus Model!

This phase was just pure fun: glue, paint, decals in no particular order... everything was finished in a day or two. Then I disc...
