Review
This new figure from Legend Productions kind of shocked me when I took it out of the box, the figure is broken down into many parts including many very small details parts. The figure is stated to be 3D scuplted, and the details show. The break down of the figure includes torso, legs, head, boots, and hands all separate. The resin casting of the parts is very well done, with great looking uniform details. I did find the face a little lacking in structure details and lip detail was a little large for my liking. As stated the hands are separate from the arms, as the hands are cast onto the gun parts, with the right hand on the trigger handle and the left hand holding the forward handle. And it should be stated the gun is very well cast with loads of details.
The gear parts are cast separate, including pouches, radio, helmet, and more. A lot of the pieces are very fine and small, but packed with great detail. The only draw back I see is that some are very small and look very fragile. This may making getting them off the cast plugs difficult and good prey for the carpet monster. I would suggest working inside of box lid, to ensure the parts don't go for an unexpected journey or flight.
The instructiona show images of the figure with pointers to the location of the gears, and should be relatively easy to follow. Due to the size of the parts, I would suggest a fast setting thin CA for assembly. Missing from the instructions is color reference for the figure and gear, so reference images may be needed for those not familiar with uniform and gear colors.
Overview
This is a great looking figure from Legend Productions, packed full of very well cast parts and lots of details. The small parts may cause some issues with removing from plugs and attaching, and also there are no color references included. All said, with some patience and good references this 3D scuplted figure should built and paint into a great figure to display alone or in diorama or vignette.
SUMMARY
Highs: Very nice casting and very well done details.Lows: Some very small parts that may be difficult to deal with, and no painting referencesVerdict: This looks to be a very nice detailed figure that will be great to display on its own or in a vignette.
