About Jim Starkweather (staff_Jim)
FROM: NEW HAMPSHIRE, UNITED STATES

I started building models in 1971 when I was 6. My first model was a 1/32 P-40 Warhawk. Revell I believe. From there I moved onto the standard cars, Apollo spacecraft, and other kid orientated kits. I don't know what got me started on Armor. I must have seen a Monogram tank kit one day and said "Mom...

Better call an attorney or enjoy what is provided. Since it is known, I doubt that anyone buying the kit will care. And, I'm sure that an am engine compartment will follow.

Why do you assume that everything is personal? You think this doesn't matter because you personally don't care. You think I'm complaining because I personally do care. Try to look at this in a general way. This kit will sell hundreds of copies. Perhaps many dozens of people will buy it without reading reviews, they will trust what the webshop says. And there are webshops already saying "full interior" and they're saying it because they see it in reviews, they're not panzer experts. Many of those buyers will be disappointed by what they get. What would you tell them, Matt? "I can deal with it, and so should you" or "Call an attorney" Your attitude seems to be "Screw those guys, I'm OK"

In the U.S. we're supposed to have truth-in-advertising laws but I don't think they're enforced very well. I do see your point, David. The number of people who would check it out before buying is still pretty low, even among us nerds because that's just how people are. Those people will end up upset, but personally I feel people need to be a little more diligent about their purchases.

So I clicked into here in the hopes of seeing additional information about this type of vehicle as it looks to be a kind of paper panzer (which is ok by me). And this what I find....whatever. So if anyone have some additional info that would be helpful that would be awesome.

Personally I'm fine with the kit being offered but it was such a minor footnote that I can't get too worked up over it, or whether it does or does not come with a complete interior. Personally I would MUCH rather someone spent as much time offering a modern Bergepanther kit so that we can say adios to the old and inaccurate Italeri offering!

Funny you said Rye Field as they are one in the same company is what I have been told actually. They just keen launching sub brands for the government incentives it seems.

So, no takers on this "Let's cry out for a better Bergepanther"? After all the effort that companies like Dragon go through to bring out silly, niggly little variants of their models you would think that a game-changer like a modern detailed Bergepanther utilizing one of their excellent Panther kits would be an easy deal! I'm stumped!
