Fret contents
There are 3 fairly large frets in this set, and although it actually sets itself out to be for the Dragon Flak 36 kit number 6260, most of it can actually be used for the Dragon Flak 37 kit, number 6287.
The instructions start out by offering improvements for the gun slide, in particular the rib supports and the tubular structure that runs up the left hand side through the supports, although you do have to supply your own wire! This is an improvement I scratched for a build feature I did on the Flak 37, and I fell it is necessary, so it's nice to see PE improvements for them.
There are also some linear Gauges for the side of the slide, although these are already provided in the Flak 37 kit, but not the 36. A very nice loading tray is included to replace the styrne one supplied in the kit, which is more in scale, and also has more detail. Various bits of wiring are supplied by Eduard as photo etch, which I'm not too convinced about, since necessarily it's all a bit 'flat' looking, but all the various brackets and clips are improvements over the kit parts.
For the cruciform base, there are various brackets again, as well as more detailed pivot points for various levers. The boxes at the centre of the base that house various gears are replaced, along with a new graduated ring for the Flak 36 mount.
The bogey's have new foot pedals, Cable reel brackets, tool boxes, and all new tool clamps. The instruction sheets supplied with the set refer to 5 sheets, yet there are only 4 in the set I received, but the 5th sheet is apparently available on the Eduard site. (Thanks LimTee!)
In conclusion
A worthwhile set from Eduard, that offers value for money and noticeable improvements over kit parts.
