Introduction
Wehrmacht Signs is a photo-etch and decal set of 1/87 Wehrmacht signage from Artitec. This is item 87-122.

Artitec makes several sets of signs for military and civil subjects, for several countries.

Oddly enough, I can not find this set anywhere on the Artitec website.

The Set
This set consists of 28 photo-etched sign boards and a decal sheet. These contents arrived in a zip-lock baggie.

The metal is thin and sharply etched. There is no surface detail etched into the metal.

No sign posts are included, presumably because it should be very easy to make them yourself.

Decals
A good looking decal sheet is provided. These decals are thin and lack excess carrier film. The ink is opaque. Printing is crisp and legible.

A diverse selection of signs are presented, such as:
Distance-to-city signs: Leningrad, Munich, Vienna, etc.
Battlefield signs: Achtung Minen!; Blindgänger (Dud munition); field aid station
Direction to municipal buildings; Bahnhof; Fahrkarten (Tickets)
    Miscellaneous warnings: Fliegergefahr (Aviation Hazard)

The decal sheet does not state who printed these decals although whoever did so should be proud.

Conclusion
Wehrmacht Signs is a great simple accessory set from Artitec. Communications through signs were an essential part of 20th century civilization or warfare, and I think it is difficult to accurately model anything but the smallest and most focused diorama without some signage.

The quality of the decals is fabulous. The sign boards are sharply formed.

I have no meaningful complain about this item and highly recommend it to 1/87 and even other braille scale modellers.

Please remember to tell vendors and retailers that you saw this set here - on Armorama.
