introduction
Music in war has always been twofold in history; a way of communication, commanding and a pyschological weapon like the drums on the battlefield in earlier periods or lately a relaxing method behind the frontlines. BRAVO*6 formerly released German tankers playing violin and harmonica in
B6-35107 Lili Marleen kit, now a new kit with a tanker playing guitar
B6-35129 Rosamunde is on market.
Review
Kit comes in standard light brown cardboard box labeled with a photo of the figure painted by
Vladimir Demchenko, also the sculptor. Inside the box; body and other parts are inserted into seperate transparent zip-lock bags.
Parts are cast in medium gray resin and represented with easy to remove casting blocks. Resin quality is good, details are crisp and clean. There is no casting mistakes, air bubbles, flesh resin or seamlines to clean. Another prime and paint kit from BRAVO-6.
Figure comes in 8 parts and depicts a German tanker sitting on a jerry can and playing his guitar.
Body ; He wears a pocketless, half-open in front with four buttons Army undershirt and Army Trousers Suspenders. He has Panzer Trousers and black leather Long boots. Cloths folds, wrinkles, pockets of trousers and suspenders are well defined. Torso is flattened on the right side for the easy and correct fit of guitar.
Head ; Two alternative heads are given. One with curly hair and other with Feldmütze sidecap. Facial details, hair and details of the sidecap like piping, national emblem and cockade are well defined. I liked the different expressions on two heads; head with sidecap shows a happy expressions and bare head looks sad or depressed.
Arms with upfolded long sleeves are posed to play the guitar. Right hand is on the body of guitar and left hand is on the fretboard. He has a wrist watch on the left.
Guitar is a 3D print in very nice details like tuning pegs, frets, sound hole, pick guard and bridge.
Figure sits on a German Army jerry can. Handle is given as seperate part. Markings with embossed letters like Kraftstoff 20L - Fuel 20 liters and Feuergefährlich - flammable are well defined.
conclusion
A very nice subject, great sculpt and flawless cast. Absolutely a great figure to use in different World War II German scenes.
