Introduction

Producer of the high quality World War II figures Rado Miniatures keeps adding more unique pieces to their product range. Lately Radek combined two single figure kits to create another interesting scene.

RDM35024 Move Jerry is a two-figure kit in 1/35 scale and cast in resin with RDM-35022 W-SS Tanker POW, 1944-45 and RDM-35023 British Trooper with Lee Enfield No.4, 1973-45.
Review

Kit comes in company’s standard clear square box labeled with boxart painted by Toshihiro Sano. Both figures and small parts of each figure are inserted into seperate zip-lock bags and small parts are double secured with small cardboards with Rado logo.

Figures are sculpted in 1/35 scale by Radek Pituch and cast very clean in medium gray resin with sharp details. Casting blocks are marked in kit numbers to make assembly easier. No mistakes, deformations or visible seamlines on the figures.

German Tanker POW

Sculpted as a walking POW with his arms in the air; figure comes in 5 parts;

  • He wears double breast and short waist Panzer Wrap Jacket and Panzer Trousers, both painted in Pea dot pattern on the boxart but can be painted in black/grey or other camo patterns. He carries an enlisted men/NCO leather Belt with metal buckle on his waist. Besides nicely sculpted folds and wrinkles, jacket details like wide collars with pointed edges, shoulder boards, button holes, trouser details like baggy look, wide trotters and side pockets with single buttoned flap covers are well defined. As for the footgear; he has Ankle Boots.

  • Arms are sculpted in the air on surrender pose. Folds and eagle emblem on the left arm are well represented.

  • Head shows an exhausted and unhappy expression. Facial features and long hair are nice sculpted.

  • P38 Walther leather holster

    British Trooper

Posed to guard his POW with his rifle at hand; it comes in 6 parts.

  • He wears standard British and Commonwealth troops BDU uniform of Jacket and Trousers. Jacket details like front closure covering buttons, shoulder boards, large outer breast pockets, waist belt that sewn into the lower part of the jacket and wire waist tab buckle; trousers details like two side slash pockets, map pocket on the left thigh, field dressing pocket on the right thigh are all well represented. He has ankle high black leather boots and Anklets. 1937 Pattern Webbing with utility belt, suspenders and two big ammo pouchs is sculpted on the figure.

  • Facial details, hair, helmet strap and Brodie helmet with netting are well defined.

  • Left arm to hold the rifle.

  • Water bottle

  • Entrenching Tool

  • He carries a Lee-Enfield No.4 rifle. Hands are cast on the rifle.
    Conclusion

Another great pair from Rado Miniatures that can be a great scene next to an abandoned German armor.
  • SUMMARY
I think Radek did a great work on this kit as figures make a very good scene together and also are very useful as single figures for different scenes. Tommy can be used in any British on march or on patrol vignette or diorama. Jerry can be a POW for all scenes as Radek used it with Soviet Scouts in RDM-35025.
