Introduction
Paracel Miniatures released Mideast POW figures in March 2018 to bring more realism to modern dioramas. After these 3 figures -
MW3535,
MW3536,
MW3537 ; company added new Prisoner of War figures to the series.
MW-3541 Pow-4 depicts a surrendered Mideast warrior on a walking pose with his hands up.
Review
Kit is served in company’s small type single figure cardboard box with a photo labeled in front showing figure painted by Ryan Thuan. Body comes in a plastic zip-lock bag and hands are secured inside a smaller one.
Sculpted by Giang Le Xuan - Janleo in 1/35 scale and cast in resin. Sculpting of body pose and proportions, clothing details and field gear is very nice and crisp. Casting is good with no mistakes, air bubbles or visible seamlines.
Figure comes as a single piece figure with seperate hands. I like these block casting of Paracel figures as no time waste with cleaning or assembly. Facial features, wide forehead, long hair, beard and moustache are well defined for a middle aged Mideastern. His clothing looks like a local military uniform with a thigh length parka with front zipper, trousers with cargo pockets on sides and heavy boots. Inside his parka, he has a sweatshirt with long sleeves and a scarf/ shemag is wrapped around his neck. Cloth folds and wrinkles especially on the arms, zipper, breast and side pockets of the parka, side and rear pockets of trousers are well defined.
Two alternatives for hands ; you may choose one and save the other for your own sculpts :) Left hand has a bandage on the second option. Note that hands will need a fast and easy cleanwork to get rid of flash resin between fingers.
Once again; a nice gesture from Giang to add a bonus part to a figure kit. A very well sculpted heap of field gear is included inside the kit. Different type and size backpacks and bags, ammo vest, AK magazine, etc.
Conclusion
Nicely posed, sculpted and cast. This is a nice figure to be used in Modern Mideast conflicts surrender scenes.
