Introduction

Vladimir Demchenko sculpted a new World War II Soviet soldier for The Liberation Day of Rostov on Don, city where he lives.
Following the German Army’s defeat at the Battle of Stalingrad, Rostov-on-Don was liberated by the Red Army on February 14th 1943. One of the latest releases of BRAVO*6 is named on this date; B6-35135 14.02.1943 depicts a Red Army soldier breaking the German road sign.

Review

Figure comes in standard cardboard box labeled with a photo of the painted figure. Body parts and other small parts are secured inside two transparent zip-lock bags.

Casting is clean with no mistakes or air bubbles. Details are crisp and there will be no need for a cleanwork.

As always, figure is sculpted in 1/35 scale and cast in resin. It comes as a full body figure with seperate arms.

Posed to break the road sign, he wears Soviet Army Great coat and black leather Jack boots. Cloth folds and wrinkles, side pockets, sew lines on sides, wide collars and removed collar tabs, straps of the field gear are all well defined. Field gear is cast over the great coat. He has two SVT ammo pouchs on both sides attached to his leather belt. He carries a Meshok rucksack on his back and a Gasmask case on the left side. As for the headgear; he has a fur cap named Ushanka. Fur texture, ear flaps tied up on the top and red star badge are nicely sculpted. Facial features and happy expression on the face as he breaks the road sign are well represented.

Arms are posed to hold the rifle. Cloth folds and cuffs are well sculpted.

Rifle ; His rifle is a 7.62 caliber SVT-40 Tokarev self-loading rifle. Hands are cast on the rifle.

Conclusion

Nice posed figure that can be displayed with more Soviet figures or he can also tell a story when displayed alone. Sculpting and casting in standard BRAVO*6 high quality.
