This new set is 48A07 - Rear small fuel tanks for T-34/76 in 1/48th scale. The set consists of a single Etched-Brass sheet. Instructions are also simple, consisting of a single (and very clear) sheet. /p>
In detail
The objective of the set is very simple, to provide sufficient parts to replace the rectangular fuel tanks on the rear of the T34/76 with a set which are better in appearance and more 'scale' than the originals. The parts (where applicable) come easy to bend with bend line clearly defined and should crate few problems in assembly. The new tanks are reasonably simple box-shapes which will require some care in folding and shaping but otherwise, suggest little which is complex or beyond the abilities of the average modeller. It seems as if Aber has chosen to reproduce the tanks very much according to the structure of the originals - something else which will simplify their construction.
Conclusions
Again, another simple but effective design which will add a great deal to the original kit. Although the set is designed for the Tamiya kit, it will be equally useful for the HobbyBoss kit in the same scale when it becomes available.
SUMMARY
The second review of an update to Tamiya's T34/76 in 1/48th scale. This time the rectangular rear fuel tanks get a brief overview.
