This title is the first in a series of Eastern Front camouflage worn by Soviet armor. It's a 40 page softcover title, all black and white inside. The text is in Polish and English, and gives a 5000 meter view of Great Patriotic War. It's nothing that will impress anyone that has completed one year of history in school.
Inside we find 11 black and white photos, at least some of which have been previously published. On the inside and back cover we get 15 color profiles covering the following:
two BT-5's
one BT-7
six KV-1's of various flavors
one OT-34
one T-34/76
one T-34/85
one IS-1
two IS-2
The profiles are well done, and include multicolor variations on the same green theme.
The majority of the book is filled with 41 b/w profiles, of which 12 are also depicted as color plates. To top off the package, the book comes with a large sheet of decals covering all of the 44 tanks shown in the book, as well as some generic gasoline decals to put on the external drums. This sheet alone will provide options for as many Soviet tanks as you care to build!
The only downside to the book is a purely subjective one. I hoped to see a greater variety of vehicles in the book, including camo schemes for the very early war equipment. Still, I'll use the decals provided to build a good representation of mid to late war machine that ground the Nazis to earth.
Highly recommended.
