Review
When I was asked to do a review on this item, I must admit to being a bit apprehensive since it's 1/72nd scale and, well, it's gonna be small!!! I was impressed at what I found regardless. This item comes well packed in the now well-known Aber see-through packaging, with the company logo, and details of the piece well written, thought out and presented, this means you can see what your getting, which is always a good thing.

The item is very straight-forward, consisting of a turned aluminum barrel designed to replace the styrene barrel in your kit of choice. Being that this is 1/72 scale, its a lot smaller than what I'm used to dealing with. I was impressed at the level of finish, which is very good, nice and smooth. Armed with a ruler and a calculator, I measured the barrel and, after some working out via counting of fingers and toes.....twice, I found the length is spot on for that scale. It even has a small indent 3mm from the end of the barrel to show the screw in muzzle end. It also has a nice locating spigot at the other end which will fit nicely into the correct type mantlet. I sprayed the barrel in primer, and a quick coat of paint, and found it took to both very well.

Conclusion
A simple and easy upgrade to add to your next 1/72 scale project. Highly recommended.

Lows: None considering the item is a turned barrel.
Verdict: If this is your scale, and you like Shermans, then this item is perfect for you.
