Churchill Early Pattern Tracks - Link and Length Resin Tracks

Introduction
Resicast brings us yet another useful product, this time in the form of the Churchill early pattern track.
review
Packed in the standard zip bag with a paper insert showing a picture of the tracks and the number of sections included in the set, the tracks themselves are contained within a further zip bag.

The tracks come in 4 separate lengths; long, medium, short and single lengths. You get 8 x long sections, 2 x medium sections, 6 x small sections and 30 individual treads (32 in my sample) which should leave you with at least a couple of extras.

The tracks are well cast in a light grey resin with good detail and should require minimal clean up. In order to facilitate building, a small black & white diagram is enclosed outlining the build sequence. To make the build even easier a picture is shown re-naming the lengths A, B, C and D that correspond to the build diagram and track lengths.

These have been designed with the new AFV Club Churchill in mind, but should work as replacement early tracks on any Churchill.
Conclusion
Not an essential item but a very useful set if you are doing a specific build and need a replacement set of early tracks.
SUMMARY
Highs: A very useful replacement set, giving modellers more choice of finish. Excellent casting and good detail.
Lows: None I can think of, other then the exchange rate.
Verdict: Recommended.

Greying slightly, but young at heart. I've been teaching adults off and on for most of my life. Left the services in 85 and first started modelling in about 87 for a few years. Then I had a long spell when I didn't build anything (too busy) and really just got started again during the summer of ...
