This is the Tank Workshop M5A1 hull w/improved front plate (#0097). Price $15.99. What
you get is a resin hull w/front plate. The resin hull includes the weld beads
and 6 rivets on the left and right rear sides of the hull .
Now for the bad news. You have to take off the front and rear fenders off the
Tamiya kit. No big deal. The problem is the the Tank workshop front hull plate
It's 3 mm too wide! It does not fit in between the Tamiya fenders. Also my hull
is warped. The rear hull engine deck is the same height as the Tamiya's hull.
The Tank Workshop front plate scales out to 4.75 feet. Tamiya is 4.5 feet. Both
in 1/35th scale.
Personally I feel this conversion is not worth the price. It's because the front
hull plate is 3mm too wide to fit inside the Tamiya fenders. Your better off
adding the weld beads and rivets onto the Tamiya hull The box art shows where
they are supposed to go. SUMMARY |
