The GAZ-69 was the successor oft the war time GAZ-67 and was introduced in 1953. The production went on until the end of 1972 with more then 1/2 million vehicles build covering all versions. The most known variants were the GAZ-69 M 1/2ton ( covered in this kit ), GAZ-69 A command car and GAZ-46 Amphibious car.
What is in the box
47 resin and approximately 120 etched parts as well as one clear foil for windscreens and instruments. The contruction guide consists of 2 sheets of A4 pages in fair printing quality with one reference pic.
First look
The kit comes in a cardbox with the parts packed in two clear plastic zip off bags. The brass parts are packed in another open plastic bag. There was no additional protection like air bubble foil or so. I think this is the reason why one part was broken on arrival.
The parts are molded with a glossy yellowish resin. The casting looks good mostly. Only the radiator grille needs attention as you can see at the picture. There are bubbles in the castings, but not at the surface of the parts. The bigger parts like the tarp are warped but hot water will help here quick.
There are some cleanups necessary at the frame, drive shafts and some other parts but it looks, as if the resin parts are to be built easily. Much more effort is needed to do the "etch job". For example: the windshield with screen consists of around 10 parts and there are 19 fastenings of the tarpaulin. For more pics of the built, unpainted kit refer to the manufacturer`s website:

Overall I think you get a nice little kit for your money. A bonus is the collection of photo etched licence plates. I believe they'll be wellcome to fit other kits.
