I picked up this set of replacement wheels for the Bronco Humber Scout Car up a few years ago at the Milton Keynes Model Show.
Stewart of SB Models makes a range of excellent prodcuts under the SB Scotia label.
This set gives a simple replacement set of resin wheels for the Bronco Humber Scout Car Mk I. (Kit No CB 35009)
The Set
The set comes packed in a plastic zip bag displaying the manufacturers name and product details.
Cast in a light grey resin I could see no damage or cause for concern with the kit parts. The wheels have very accurate detail on both front and rear sides as does the spare wheel. You will have to add the kit hub nuts, if that is the correct word, but these have been designed with the Bronco Scout Car in mind so that shouldn't be a problem.
Clean up of the wheels should be minimal; a quick light sanding and you should have a good set of wheels for you Humber. The tread detail looks accurate comparing them to the pictures I've seen, and on the side of the tyres are the words 'Dunlop Trax Grid ##' . The hubs have the correct number of bolts and shape to them, you should only need to add an air pipe if you wish.
You get 2 front wheels, 2 rear wheels and 1 spare wheel all of which are easy to identify.
Conclusion
Not an essential item but a very well cast and presented article. These will add to any build of the Bronco Humber you choose to do and the wheels appear properly presented for application.
The detail appears to be very accurate comparing it to the example pictures I used for reference.
Normal precautions apply when working with resin.
SUMMARY
Highs: Excellent detail.Lows: None I can think of.Verdict: Highly Recommended but not essential.
