There isn't a lot of background to cover on this release. Folks gotta keep things clean, including themselves. I imagine such items as the large wooden washtubs depicted in this set would be seen most anywhere that people would be, though in my mind this kit seems to have a more rural aspect to it.
contents
This kit from PlusModel consists of a single sheet of thin wood that has parts for two complete washtubs carefully cut out with a laser, with only small, pre-embossed areas to cut to remove the parts. It is packaged flat with a cardboard backer that also has the simple instructions printed on it.
assembly
Removal of the parts was easy, but be careful to follow the embossed line so you don't get into the wood grain and make a crooked cut. Assembly is fairly simple but some trimming and sanding may be necessary to get a clean fit. Wood, white or cyanoacrylate (super) glue can be used for assembly. I chose the latter because of speed of drying time.
I put the end pieces (trapezoidal shapes) on the sides first. They should all line up at the base so the bottom piece will fit flat. It is a little larger than the tub sides and will stick out a little. Last attached are the small end strips. These I had to trim by about 2-3mm to get to fit between the curved handle ends of the sides. Maybe they were supposed to fit over the top of everything else. Any gaps left from assembly can be filled easily.
conclusion
I imagine these could be used as a bath or laundry tub either in a rural setting or outside a field hospital or camp, or a water trough for larger livestock. In larger scales the uses could vary as the modeler sees fit.
This set is quite basic, intended for the imagination of the modeler or dioramist to best decide how they are to be used. I think mine will wind up outside a French farm gate or similar setting. Based on the quality and simplicity of this kit, I am now much more interested in the other laser cut wood products available.
SUMMARY
Highs: This is a simple, scene specific, diorama accessory that is easy to build. Lows: None noted.Verdict: If you want something like this for your diorama, I think this kit will fit your needs.

About Russ Amott (russamotto) FROM: UTAH, UNITED STATES
I got back into the hobby a few years back, and wanted to find ways to improve, which is how I found this site. Since joining Armorama I have improved tremendously by learning from others here, and have actually finished a couple of kits. I model to relax and have fun, but always look to improve. ...
