Improvised explosive devices are unfortunately the most successful weapons used by the insurgents and terrorists in the recent military operations led in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are responsible for more than 60% of all casualties of both military personnel as well as civilians and remain a potent danger even now.
However, people are working even as I type this to combat this threat and implement various technical solutions to military vehicles as well as soldiers serving today in the most dangerous parts of the world.
One of such thing is the Chameleon IED jammer a vehicle-mounted counter-RCIED system that provides countermeasures to a wide range of current RC-initiated threats. This program was put in place to accelerate the production and fielding of jamming capabilities to the Marines.
A tale says that it got its name due to the fact it could be reprogrammed to meet all kinds of changing insurgent threats, from key fobs to cellphones hence the Chameleon.
Voyager depicts the USMC fielded variant of the Chameleon device used on the LAV-25.

This is a simple add-on for your LAV-25 kit. It consists of:
2 brass tubes with different diameters that assemble into a telescopic post,
turned metal antenna housing,
antenna base (twisted wire type)
small photo-etched fret,
two lengths of wire
small paper with instructions.
The instructions are clear and easily laid out and should make the assembly fast and easy. The telescopic post can be depicted in various positions both retrieved and fully extended. PE fret is comprised of only 15 parts but when assembled will fully look the part.

I like this set as it's simple, cheap and fast way of updating your kit of the LAV-25 or any other USMC (or Army embedded with Marines, for that matter) vehicle.

Highs: Easy assembly, low price
Lows: Could use some positioning photos
Verdict: Nice, simple set for updating your kit

Mario, do you have the Blast one at hand to make a comparison between both sets ? Olivier

Yes Since Blast model one is coming the electronic component on the side of the hull. Does VM is going to release the add on as well ? Cheers Seb

Thanks guys. To answer Olivers question, unfortunately no, I don't have the Blast set for comparison but have seen some pics on the net. What I don't get is VM's set is intended for the Trumpeters LAV-25 but without the electronics pack (huge box on the side) it's useless for that purpose. Unless you get the box in the kit. I feel it has more use as a general purpose set (if you wish to add it to a HMMWV perhaps) or fell it is more posable with some other aftermarket set.

Oh, forgot - if I have to choose, I'd pick the turned metal one over resin parts due to the thing post to avoid deformation and warping IMO

Yes, you score one point there.
