One of the bigger pains in my *** is figuring out what to do with the models I build. A diorama? Too much work.
A slab of wood? Looks like amateur night.
A custom base? Usually too expensive.
But Slimedog Models has come up with a compromise for you figure modelers: cast plaster bases with small chunks of wall you can use to create a mini-diorama.
what you get
Inside a plain white cardboard box are two pieces of cast plaster.
the review
The set is pretty straightforward and you can do with it what you want. While not highly-artistic, it's a simple way to display a figure or two in a realistic situation. Slimedog Models has two different combinations, and as you can see from the photos, the possibilities are limited only by your imagination.
conclusion
The quality of the casting is good, and the pieces fit together reasonably well. I wouldn't call this the answer to your prayers, but perhaps the answer to your cursing when trying to find a place for your figures.
Thanks to Slimedog Models for providing these samples. When ordering, be sure to say you saw it reviewed on Armorama.
