Treemendus is a UK based company specialising in diorama products mimicking the natural world rather than the man made items that are utilised with the exception of “Blitz rubble”. Treemendus supply everything from scatters mimicking ground cover to various earth types and even full grown trees. The products are, for the most part, natural products and utilises renewable resources.

I am covering two of the three products in this specific line as the only difference between them is the colour, with the base product being identical. The specific two lines covered here are the “Natural Leaves” and “Ivy Leaves”, the other line which I don’t have in this product line is “Autumn Leaves”. The product is packaged in a zip lock bag with a card header printed with product and company details, the zip lock bag does ensure that the remaining product after use does not end up all over the floor.
Review
This product consists of Silver Birch bracts and some catkin stalks which have been dyed in various shades. As can be seen from the pictures this product has nice variations in colour and tone resulting in a very natural look. The Ivy leaves should mimic the look of real ivy very well with careful placement, with the natural leaves looking good for dropped leaves and forest floor as a part of the general litter that accumulates.
Due to the complementary nature of the colour variation in each product and across the three products in general, I suggest that utilising all three will result in a very natural looking forest floor build up from oldest to newest leaf litter which is really seen after disturbance by passing traffic, either human or vehicle.
Quantity wise you get .28 grams in a packet but I admit I don’t know if the product is sold by weight or some other measurement method. The quantity is good for several vignettes and there should be enough for a diorama containing a number of trees to give a natural look to the ground.
Conclusion
While the contents of this product range could be collected for free, I feel that the colouring process used here which results in the good variation of colour would be hard to replicate. It is because of this and the reasonable price that I highly recommend this product to you, and it is worth considering that this product is available all year round where as some items can only be collected at certain times of the year and assumes you have easy access to them. I should mention here that while I paid £4.70 for each of the products they are available from Treemendus for £4.50, which if a part of a larger order may be the best approach even with postage.
SUMMARY
Highs: The excellent colour variation and mix makes this product worthy of your consideration when the need arises.Lows: I cannot think of any negatives to this product.Verdict: I highly recommended this product range.

If you are attaching them to a tree once you have your branches and attached a base product for the foliage (Treemendus sells a hair like product that is teased out to form the general shape you require and secured to the branches), Treemendus also sell a watery white glue product that is supplied with a mister/diffuser that you spray on your base and build up your leaf layer, If you check other reviews of Treemendus products the tree kits are covered and I will get one at some point and see what I can do with a build review. I will say that this product is best used as a leaf litter rather than the foliage on a tree, the ivy leaf being the exception to the rule.
Looks very interesting. I've checked their site. The only complain I can make is that there are no bigger pictures on their site so one can make his idea about some products. Some indications of weight or quantity would be also useful to give an idea of for example powders quantity. I see the small pics of powders or leaves in the bags but I can't make out how big it is. I hope I'm clear here.
