Missing from the range of replacement heads available for modellers for a long time have been a set of Australian heads in slouched hats. This gap has been filled by Firestorm Models in Australia with this set of 6 heads and hats suitable for 1/35 scale Aussie Troops.
These heads would be useable in both WW1 and WW2 and our Commonwealth cousins from down-under could no doubt clarify their post war usage.
The set
The set consists of 6 heads and hats for same, and comes packed in a small plastic bag stapled to a backing card showing the manufacturers details.
The set is cast in a cream coloured resin and the heads all have excellent and varied facial detail. The hats look extremely well done too. Both heads and hats have pour stubs to be removed so a razor saw and a sharp XActo blade/knife will be required. The resin is easy to work with, just take care when cleaning up the underside of the hat.
Conclusion
These heads should be very useful by Allied modellers for converting many of the currently available British Infantry figures into Australians.
There is generally a lack of Commonwealth heads covering the many countries that served in and fought with the British Army in both World Wars so I’m very pleased to see this set being available and on the market.

Hi Pat,
Yes that would be nice, I had in mind the DML Commonwealth Infantry set in Italy as Anzacs, there aren't currently any poorly dress enough troops for the Chindits, but I recently saw an interesting film about the 39th Battalion and the Kokoda Trail I do have a donkey somewhere
Cheers
