Tasca has released another variant in their (now) long line of Sherman tanks. This time around it's the IC (1C) Firefly with composite hull. Composite hulls were made from a 'cast' front hull section mated to a welded rear hull section. This kit includes parts from other Tasca releases of the Sherman. There are two F sprues included in the box which have both a British tank commander and a second U.S. tank crewman (which was from a prior release).
The kit looks to be another solid release from Tasca in Japan. Expect the price for this kit to be in the $60 range. The kit is in pre-order status with many online shops right now.
As this is primarily a photo preview you can see for yourself what is included with the kit. We have also posted a video (at right) showing the kit being unboxed.
Stay tuned for a more complete in-box/build review.
SUMMARY
Highs: Another well produced Sherman release from Tasca.Lows: None we saw in our brief look.Verdict: This kit will certainly tick the boxes of most allied builders.

I don't know what got me started on Armor. I must have seen a Monogram tank kit one day and said "Mom...
Hi Jim,
Can you tell us if the tracks are the old brown ones that take plastic glue, or the newer black vinyl ones that need superglue to join them?
Tom
Hi JIm;
Liked the video review greatly but can you tell me whether you are going to build as a British tank or a tank from the 2nd Canadian Armoured Brigade. I think the later would be better as I use to belong to one of the regiments that was part of that brigade.
