All vehicles need tires to move, LZ Models has created a set of brand name tire, Firestone for CMP's and British truck. Here is a quick look at these tires.
Review
During World War Two most industry was involved in producing parts and equipment to support the war effort, and this was no different for tires. The majority of vehicles usually relied on rubber tires, and most tire producing companies supplied tires, like Firestone. Firestone, an American tire producer, produced a lot of other manufactured products during the war, but their expertise was in rubber tires. LZ Models has now produced a set of these tires designed for Canadian Military Pattern and British trucks.
The replacement tire set from LZ Models comes in a small plastic bag with five Firestone tires, four mounted and one spare. The tires are cast in light beige resin, and crisply molded. The tread pattern is well done, and the Firestone lettering is clearly visible on the sidewall. The tires look very much like the tires included in Mirror Models kits, and would be an easy swap due to identical mounting. As for none Mirror Models kits, there may need to be some modifications done to for inner rims and/or brake detail.
Overall these are a great looking set of replacement tires, and for Firestone tire fans, you can now mount them on your favorite vehicle. This LZ tire replacement set is highly recommended.
