Recently released from Resicast are a set of Damaged Wooden Boxes for use in vehicles and dioramas, set No 35.2363.
The Set
The set comes packed in the normal Resicast format for small items, the parts in 2 separate zip plastic bags and the set contained within a further zip bag. Included is a paper insert showing the product number, picture of the items and manufacturers details.
The boxes are cast in a light grey resin. The detail looks good.
The set consists of 10 damaged wooden boxes, two of each kind; a total of 5 types. The boxes represent fallen and burst or split boxes with the contents spilling out onto the ground, particularly useful for crashed vehicles or general diorama settings, or where a box has been dropped..
The spilled contents includes, cans and boxes/tins, so use you imagination as to what you want these to represent. The set follows on from Kit No 53.2362 which has a range of wooden boxes.
Conclusion
These should make a nice addition to any diorama you’re building and are a fun but useful item. Use your imagination and you will have an item to add a little more interest and reality to whatever you are building. The detail looks realistic and should make for a piece of fun painting. Useful from the late 1800s onwards.
