Value Gear continues to pump out generic stowage items, including the latest Long Tent & Tarp Rolls.
Contents
The offering comes in bag with a card stock label containing 18 new original and unique pieces.
Review
As usual with Value Gear, the pieces are cast in a grey resin, with a little flash and molding seams around the bottom of the pieces. These are easily cleaned up with a little sanding. From past experience with Value Gear items, they take paint readily, but I still suggest a coat of fine primer.
Like previous sets the detail is well done with realistic looking folds and creases. The straps and buckles are very well done and well pronounced. Looking at this set I found no casting bubbles in the example I received from Value Gear.
This set contains longer rolls that would look good on the side of a truck, along the chassis of a tank, or on the side of a Sd.Kfz.251 or other half track. Being generic, these tent and tarp rolls can fit into any period and for any nationality. The parts measure anywhere from about 5cm to 7cm and are cast in multiple shapes to fit almost any need.
Conclusion
Overall this is another great set of stowage items from Value Gear, and a definite must for the spares box to have on hand for the next great build. The pieces are very well cast, with great detail, and when painted look great on any vehicle and/or diorama. I highly recommend these generic long tent and tarp rolls.
