About 1SGJFC
With a desire to (but long-delayed) learn more about WWII and accompanying modeling, I am now trying to make the time to explore both. I have an interest in all things Airborne, Reconnaissance, the "beans & bullets" aspect of the conflict, as well as the contributions of industry to the war’s effort. I spent 32 years in the US Army, US Army Reserve, and the Maryland Army National Guard, retiring as a First Sergeant of a Light Infantry Company. My Dad (USAAF) and Uncle (USN) returned home from overseas after WWII and eventually moved to work in a tank plant for the early Cold War/Korean Conflict, which was then transformed into an auto assembly facility from which they retired. That plant no longer exists.
