I've been a plastic scale modeler on and off for most of my life since I 1st found them on a shelf at a local toy store way back in the very early 1960s. Once in High School modeling stopped until the mid 1970s when I got married, and needed a hobby that would keep me at home. After 10 years I took another 10 year break, and have been building models since the mid 1980s. I've always modeled aircraft and a little armor here and there, but I've been a true auto racing fan for as long as I can member. So less then 2 years ago I came out of the" Modeling closet", sold off all my unbuilt aircraft kits, and focused solely on classic cars, and race cars. Every build has had a special meaning to me, which makes it all just that more apealing. I've worked for the last 50+ years in the retail Drug Store Industry. Finally, I retired on January 23, 2018 @ 70 years old. So far every day has been a vacation day that just never ends. Just don't ask my wife what she thinks of my retirement.
