About Mechworker
I'm a Professional Engineer with a Ph.D. on Electrical Engineering. I have been a modeller since I was twelve, when I built the old Monogram 1/48 P-40 with my Uncle. My first "solo" kit was the 1/72 Monogram A-10A, and I've been going strong ever since. I have a personal love for the weird and obscure, and I love two-seater aircraft. I model cars, planes (everything past 1936) and have an emerging love of submarines! I am also an avid anime (Japanese Animation) fan, and have built large numbers of Mobile Suits (piloted giant robots) and other mecha. Modelling helps me keep my sanity and I credit it to no small degree in helping me balance my work/life equation. I sitll get that "giddy as Christmas Morning" feeling when I see a kit I want!
