I am gerard Vernet mafva member 4214 and I begann with Tankette 23. I am french and I born in 1948 in th city of Prades in Roussillon county at the border with Spain.Now I live in Perpignan.Main Rugby teams : USAP for the XV and XIII catalan .My father was officer in the colonial artillery ,and I lived a part of my youth oversea .I saw the 1st plastic kits when I was 11 years old ;these were lindberg planes .I wished one for X,mas but my father built it; I remember that was the F100 super sabre.but the 1st model I made was the lindberg Ju 88. Later I was soldier in 501è RCC near Paris .And I drove an AMX 13 VTT(infantry carrier). I have seen the first airfix tanks .In a shop of paris" Babytrain" and I decided to do tanks in place of aircraf.The first I built was the panther (of Africa korps If I remember the pict on the blister). Since this heroic time I built also resine and metal kits of course.I was intersted also by armoured train and now also by historic figure 75 mm mainly from Clydecast. My other interst are the precolumbians indians since 30 years what I like in the Mafva ? the members are humble and work for the collectivity and they do no give the impression to want bright .A very well spirit,do not lost it
