I was born in The Netherlands, where I did my Undergraduate Studies in Chemistry at the University of Nijmegen. I graduated with my Doctorandus degree (equal to M.S.) in '91. Following this, I did my National Service in the Royal Dutch Army as a gunner on a Leopard 2A4(NL) MBT from '92 to '93. In the summer of '93 I came to the USA, to pursue my Graduate Studies in Chemistry at Yale University, working for Professor Gary W. Brudvig. I received my Ph.D. in December 2000. During the '00-'01 and '01-'02 school years I have been a Science Teacher at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison, New Jersey. In the summer of '02 I moved back to Connecticut, where I was an Instructor of Science at Miss Porter's School in Farmington, CT for four years. In the summer of '06 I moved to England, and am now a Chemistry Teacher at St. Catherine's School in Bramley, Surrey. As far as modelling goes, I build Post-WWII armour (mostly 1/35, with some 1/72 thrown in), courtesy of my vehicle recognition classes while in the army. I spend at least half my time reading about armour, its history, its use etc.
