Conclusion

Over this time span I have started many new projects, some wildly ambitious and some simply challenging. Although in Plan A I had hoped to have completed at least one of those, sadly that has not been the case. They are however not forgotten nor abandoned just pending, so to speak, as I continue to develop the skills I will need to complete them so I have many more challenging and fun times ahead.

The site continues to expand and grow, people come and people go but I am pleased to say that despite all the changes it still retains much of the appeal that it had 5 years ago, and still seems a busy as ever. There seem to be campaigns happening all over the place and I had a lot of fun taking part in a few.

On the modelling front well I’m pleased to say there has been an explosion of new kits for us British and Commonwealth fans and that has been an amazing thing to witness. New companies like Bronco, Tasca, MiniArt, MasterBox have taken the lead in this area and in some other areas too. Who would have thought we would ever see an AVRE Churchill in plastic yet AFV Club produce a cracking kit. The AM manufacturers continue to amaze me with the quality of their products that happily eat up my cash and we almost but not quite got a QLD from SKP but I’m hopeful some new trucks will come along soon.

My thanks to everyone who made this journey so enjoyable and in particular to the late David Maynard (Drader) who was for me an inspiration and wealth of knowledge, a cyber-buddy I truly miss. Also my thanks to Derek Barton for putting up with my many Royal Artillery questions and for pointing me towards Fingerprint Design decals. Happy modelling to all and thank you all folks, the list is way too long to publish but these builds were made possible by your input and advice and that is truly appreciated.
