All is known about the Dragons Smart Panther, so...
This will be a last steel wheeler, with Aber barell and Eduard PE set.
I have a weird thing in building the turret first so here it is. upon seeing the details moulded in plastic, I`ve decided not to use some PE parts due to the fact that the effort will not result in a significant detail level.
I gave a go with my dremel tool to make the cast look on the surface, that picture is lousy due to my [auto-censored]ty camera, so i will see how that turns out.

Ive started work on the engine deck, filling the holes for PE installation, and some work on the port section

It will be closed up, so the MG will not be visible from the outside, therefore, no additional detail.

Since this will be a part of a diorama, I will do the suspension a little later, since I have not finished the ground works yet.haven`t started, actually...

I`m in a dilemma...Dragons mesh for air scoops are quite denser than the Eduards, which are really fine, so any suggestions maybe?

EDIT: never mind, went with the Edurd ones

A little progress made, engine deck is 90% completed, so I`ve started on the figures. On the deck will be Dragons Panzer riders, and on the turret one wounded soldier and one motherf...over the cannon, both resin figures

Construction is complete, the turret was painted with a brown colour than Tamiyas Olive green which needs lightening. Now, I will prime everything else in brown to see if everything is OK and it gives a nice preshade effect

Looks good, Matija. What brand are the resin figures?

I have this kit in my stash as well. What is your impression of the tracks. Do they come together well? As I recall these are the workable type(?)

Resin figures were bought at a modeling show in Mosonmagyar in Hungary. No brand,it`s a heap of figures in a box sold separately.

The tracks need cleaning up between the guide horns, but they do come together easily, little glue is needed, but they are not workable

Thanks Frank,

camo pattern is done, i`ve decided to go with the yellow on green camo, so it`s Tamiyas Olive green lightened with yellow and Dark yellow. The usual effects are to follow

don`t mind the scene... the best sun conditions are at this table...

I like the camo. Nice shapes and balance.

How did you do the masking, tape, putty or hand paint outlines and fill with brush/airbrush?

Hi ,

The camo looks great! I've always been a fan of the way green and Dunkelgelb look together. Will look fantastic when weathered up nicely.

Panther is 95% complete,so the work on the dio continues with the Schwimmwagen and the base

this is an attempt to recreate debris(bricks, mortar), so I could use "constructive feedback" on this..

That Panther really looks great. I love the camo. Although looking at your table I think plaid camo would have looked neat. Guess I'll have to pick up one of these now.

Thanks

i`m waiting for my new camera to come back from a trip to france
the diorama is done, but on the local modelling contest it received critiques on the inconsistencies on the debris placing( ) so I will probably need to take care of that...

Just came across this thread and enjoyed reading it. Great job on the panther, and the figures look great too, any chance of some close up shots?

Couple of other questions:

Who makes the schwimmenwagen? Is that the Italeri version?

What happened too the two guys on the turret?

Good job, shame they were picky on your 'debris placement'!

James
