Hi Johnathan
that frame really does look the part now
Did you add a blob of glue to hold the foil in place or is that fold working as we thought?
Looking great

All right, just a couple more build pictures, and then, right here, tonight... IT'S DONE!
OK Nige here we go...
The frame worked pretty good with just the friction fit, but I had to dab just a bit in each corner, using my high tech super glue applicator...
Then a few more little things (real little)...
And it is...
Done!
Pshew!
I do plan on adding some personal items, packs, and tarps, when I actually install it on the diorama. But as far as this build goes... I'm callin' it!
Thanks to everyone for the comments and for dropping in. If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them!
Aloha

Hi Johnathan
The jeep is looking great and I just love the super detailing with the PE (home made) add ons to the windscreen. I can never get tiny bits like that stuck down without glueing everything including my fingers and the kitchen sink to the model.
One thought though, the rear tyre looks too pristeen condition without any weathering or dulling down with some mud drawn up from the rear of the jeeps spray though mud and dust.
Maybe also some localised staining or sheen from splashed steam and leaking oil from the wrecked radiator , hoses and engine block around the damaged area.
Really neat wrecking job !!!!!!
I want a real one NOT WRECKED THOUGH

You've done an outstanding job on that wrecked jeep of yours. Considering how small the model is in that scale there is a lot going on, I like the scratchbuilt parts, especially the grill. Once again an awesome model.

James,
What I'm hoping to do is put together another build log for the diorama. It should be early next week since I'll be hittin' the road tonight.

Bob, sorry, i missed the finished pics.
Overall very good job with a lot of little tips and hints to copy. Thanks for showing them as detailed.
But why did you put the jeep against the wall? You are hidding your detailed front grill work!
Cheers
Claude

Claud,
Thanks for looking! Yeah, it certainly isn't in the best viewing position is it, but it fits! I'm thinking I will do something a bit more central (and therefore visible) in the future. This was really one of those last minute brainstorming things that was pretty much experimental.
Oh yeah, there are some pictures of the completed dio here in construtive feedback under "Street Scene Dio is Finally Done!"
Thanks Again

Awesome build, just returning to modeling after a long time away and looking at your picture is really inspiring however, not sure I can tackle something like this though, Again awesome build and thanks for the tips.
